Medicare

SHICK is the Kansas component of the federal State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) that is funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). As a SHICK partner, we recruit and provide training for a network of volunteer counselors located throughout our 9-county region who answer questions, explain benefits and help solve health insurance problems. Trained SHICK volunteers offer individual assistance in explaining Medicare, Supplemental Insurance policies and Medicaid benefits so Individuals can make informed choices.
