Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) A trusted source of information where people of all ages, abilities and income levels - and their caregivers - can go to obtain assistance in planning for their future long-term service and support needs. The ADRC is designed to empower older adults and persons with disabilities to make informed choices about their services and supports.
ADRCs have three major goals:

- To Provide Information, Referral and Assistance: Staff are trained in Community Resource Information and can link you to appropriate services and support.
- Options Counseling: An Options Counselor will provide unbiased information that is relevant to the individual’s needs, preferences and goals.
- Assessments: The ADRC conducts the initial and annual functional eligibility assessment for some of the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) programs: Frail Elderly, Physical Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Money Follows the Person (MFP). We also assist with the CARE (Client, Assessment, Referral and Evaluation) for individuals entering a nursing facility.
Services in the home We have an array of funding options to assist individuals to remain in the home.
Nutrition Program This program serves nutritious meals at meal sites and offers educational, recreation and socialization opportunities for individuals 60+. Meals are available for delivery to 60+ individuals who are homebound. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
Medicare Counseling
SHICK counselors receive training on all aspects of Medicare, long-term care insurance and other health insurance topics that concern Kansans. Counselors are available to meet with consumers for personalized counseling sessions, to help with problems and questions, and to provide support during the decision-making process. SHICK counselors will not recommend policies, companies, or agents, but will provide free,
